Our History

Rob Hunter and his wife, Carol Ann, started the Purofirst Franchise with his mother, Barbara Hunter, 30 years ago. Initially, Rob also ran a construction company specializing in homes and post offices. They began with just a few jobs a month in their garage, but Purofirst steadily grew, while the construction company dwindled. Over time, their disaster restoration services in Louisville and the region took shape

After five years, Rob built a 10,000 square foot facility, which they quickly outgrew, leading to the construction of a 27,000 square foot facility eight years later. Purofirst has since become one of the largest damage and disaster restoration companies in Louisville and the Kentucky region, known for its honesty, integrity, and pride in their work—qualities that continue to attract customers.
